“Waiting for the crickets to return” (2024) is one of my score-based works along the question of how to relate to non-human beings. It was first performed at the gallery Der Mixer in Frankfurt am Main, on the occasion of the opening of Vertrau mir; ich träume. Romantik 3.0 on digitalism and romanticism.

For the performative installation, I translated four selected poems featuring crickets into morse code and performed them using field recordings of crickets as sound material.

The performance could also be listened to in the gallery space where it was broadcast via a mobile phone. There were printed versions of the poems in both text and morse code.
